What is the Correct Dosage of CBD Oil?
Since everyone is different, there is no such thing as a correct CBD oil dosage. No specific dosage is appropriate for everyone. There are a lot of factors that affect the dosage for each individual. Each person needs to consider their tolerance to CBD, their body type, and the reason CBD is being used such as to relieve pain or promote restful sleep. The concentration of the specific CBD product must also be taken into account. The way each product interacts with the body is slightly different.
There are ways to determine the correct dosage for a wide variety of CBD products, types and individuals. Although it is not possible to overdose on CBD, excessively large and consistent doses can result in some unpleasant side effects. The health issues and medical condition of the individual will also have an impact on the effect.
Determining the Ideal CBD Oil Dosage for Each Individual
To figure out the right dosage, the individual needs to take all of the following factors into consideration.
Concentration: The strength or concentration of the CBD is in reference to the amount of CBD contained in the product. In most cases, the amount is specified on the label in milligrams. To determine the intended dosage of the product, one milligram must be used as a standard serving. If the concentration is 750 milligrams and the product contains 15 milliliters, the intended dosage is roughly 25 milligrams of CBD. The dosage can then be adjusted according to the requirements of each individual.
The Intended Purpose: The reason CBD is being used is another important factor regarding the dosage. A good example of a correct dose is dependent on how severe of an issue the person is experiencing. If the condition is milder, the individual will not require the full dosage. If the person is suffering from a severe issue such as chronic pain, the best way to relieve the symptoms is with a higher dose of CBD.
The Weight of the Individual: A lot of CBD products base the dosage on the weight of the user. A large man is going to need a higher dosage to achieve the same effect as a small woman. When uncertain, the best option is beginning with a lower dosage to determine the effect. The dosage can be increased a little at a time until the person reaches the desired effect.
Tolerance Level: When an individual uses CBD for a long period of time, their tolerance to the product can increase. The only way to continue achieving the same effect may be to gradually increase the dosage.
The Different Types of CBD
Tinctures: Tinctures generally have the recommended dosage right on the label in addition to the milligrams of CBD contained in the product. The information can be used to determine the correct dosage of the tincture. The product will come with a dropper. The correct number of drops are drawn into the dropper and placed beneath the tongue.
The individual should allow the drops to remain beneath the tongue for about one minute. During this time, the vessel located under the tongue absorbs the CBD. The CBD is then able to enter the bloodstream. After one minute has passed, the person simply swallows the CBD.
Edible CBD: Edibles are the simplest type of CBD to use. All the individual needs to do is open the package and enjoy the contents. There is no need to determine the correct dosage. More time will be required before the person starts to notice the effect. Edibles are a good option for anyone interested indiscretion or a longer-lasting effect.
E-Liquid CBD: For anyone interested in an instantaneous effect, vaping is a good option. The quickest way to send CBD to both the body and the brain is through inhalation. The individual should exhale slowly, hold the CBD in their lungs for as long as they are comfortable, and then exhale. The available options include cartridges, pens, and refillable vaporizers. The different options offer a nice variety for each person.
CBD Concentrates: CBD concentrates were designed to be sprinkled directly into a water pipe or a vaporizer. The individual begins by lighting the device and inhaling the CBD. This method enables the person to enjoy the effect of the CBD quickly. CBD concentrates are useful for increasing the normal consumption of CBD. Some of the choices include herbs and cannabis flowers.
Using Weight to Determine the Right Dosage of CBD Oil
A lot of people are able to determine the best dosage for their needs by using their weight. The best place to begin is by using one-sixth of a milligram for every 10 pounds of weight. If the individual is in a lot of pain, they will most likely require a higher dosage. The best dosage to start with for an individual weighing 150 pounds is between 15 and 25 milligrams. The dosage should be increased to between 20 and 33 milligrams for a weight of 200 pounds.
The best option is to start with a lower dosage. Just because two people are the same weight does not mean they will both experience the same effects from identical dosages. The dosage should be increased gradually until the individual is satisfied with the effects.
