The article consists of the information given below will clear the confusion between the difference between hemp oil and CBD oil. How each other are separate as they belong to the same plant. The division of the article will be in five sections that will point out the dissimilarity of the two.
The five section that would easily make you understand is the
- Classes of the plant.
- Parts of the plants used for making the oil.
- How much CBD do they contain?
- How are they used?
- Production method.
The difference between the Hemp oil and CBD oil
Classes of the Plant:
The first basic point of this section is how these two oils come out fro the same plant and how they differ to one another.
The Cannabis plant comes from the Cannabis. The family is then divided into three parts:
RuderalisThe Cannabis indica and Sativa can be found among any local store that produces medicine. Due to the mixture of both, you may find various products that may help you. Other than that the Cannabis Ruderalis is the one that is grown in the wild which in result causes it to contain low THC (which makes you high) Just a little information to make it clearer.
Which one does each belong too?
Well, answer to this is that both, hemp oil and CBD oil both belong to the Cannabis Sativa.
These two come from different offsprings of the plant.
In addition, this plant keeps growing as only one strain of the plant is taken.
The difference between these two is that the hemp oil is from the strain that has low cannabinoid count but the CBD oil is the one that has high cannabinoid and is low in THC
Hemp oil vs. CBD oil and look at the second of the five major differences: the parts used to produce the oil.
Parts of the plants used for making the oil.
In addition to being derived from slightly different strains of the same plant, hemp oil and CBD oil are produced from different parts of their respective plants.
Hemp oil is produced from the seeds of the hemp plant, much like oils derived from olives, almonds, and coconuts. CBD is produced from the flowers, leaves, and stalks of the Cannabis sativa plant.
That doesn’t mean that the flowers, leaves, and stalks of the hemp plant don’t have a purpose. As you’ll see in section four, all parts of the hemp plant can be used in one form or another. The key thing to remember about hemp is that it is NOT psychoactive or medicinal like the Cannabis sativa plant. This is because the hemp plant is very low in cannabinoids.
What is Cannabinoid?
So since we’re on the third topic, for us to understand the difference between these two is to actually know what Cannabinoid is.
A cannabinoid is the part of the marijuana as a chemical compound. It is the most important compound of the plant. There is not one but more than 85 compounds of cannabinoid that are present. And out of all THC and CBD are very well known.
The work of this chemical is to react differently to the receptors of the body to create a positive effect but THC makes one high.
Other than these two is the hemp oil. Coming back to the topic the other part to explain is how these two have different sort of properties in them:
How much do CBD does it contain?
So talking on further, both of them contain CBD, which makes them similar, but there is a huge difference
The Hemp oil has a very low CBD count, which is 3.5%. Due to the low count, in the result, the production medicines is not possible.
CBD oil, on the other hand, has a very high CBD count (20%). This count makes it perfect for the use of medication for issues such as anxiety, depression, cancer and many more.
Since we know what it contains, we exactly know they are used for different purposes.
Looking further how the hemp oil is used:
The purpose for Food and Industrial Products:
When we talk about how it plays a role as a food, it means, it works like a coconut oil and olive oil. Other than that the hemp oil if added to salads or any other food may give you healthy benefit and would also taste good. The hemp oil has all the different sort of nutrient and protein:
- Polyunsaturated fats (omega-3 and omega-6)
- Vitamin E
- Vitamin B1
- Vitamin B2
Though when we see how it works for the industrial products, we learn that it is used for different sort of production like
Other than that when you start taking these, they sort of benefit you in these many forms
- Provides nutrition for your brain
- Moisturize skin
- Lower blood fat levels
Now that we have seen the uses of the hemp oil, let us take a look at the CBD oil.
Works as a Medicine:
Known as the CBD, it is understood that it would contain high of it which would help in the production of medicines. Which would benefit us in these ways:
- Chronic pain
- Sleep disorder
- Anxiety and depression
- Skin conditions
- Poor metabolic function
- Weaker immune system
Now that we know if these two particularly are used differently, we know what to take for what.
The section of this is the production, which would immediately clear up the myth of them being the same.
The production of the oil is like most of the oil like olive coconut and sesame. It is done by pressing the seeds of the hemp plant.
The oil is produced through a process called solvent extraction. A solvent like alcohol, butane, or CO2 is forced across and through the Cannabis sativa plant matter, where it separates the cannabinoids, terpenes, and trichrome. The solvent is then, evaporated which also leaves behind the cannabinoid-packed CBD oil.
